Fishing: how should i rig my catfish rod/reel?

With the line test and rod length you are using, nothing is better than a tight line rig. All you need is about a 1/0 size hook with good wire strength, a 3 way swivel, and between a 1 to 1 3/4 oz. weight. Make two leaders one both between 1 to 1.5 feet and tie the hook on one and the weight on another with a Snell knot, tie both to the 3 way swivel and then tie your line to the remaining loop of the 3 way swivel and your set.
