Corrosion on USB Flash Drive?

I accidentally poured some vinegar on my USB flash drive and it cannot be cleaned. How can you remove the corrosion without damaging the equipment? Help please! My flash drive is an Imation Nano 4 Gigabyte USB with those swivel caps.
